ERASING E-WASTE! MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The Nature Club of the Goa College of Home Science organized an E-Waste Collection Drive in the College premises in association with KaroSambhav,
from the 21st to the 23rd of October 2021.
This collection drive was conceptualized by the Nature Club primarily to make people aware of the effects
of incorrect disposal of E-Waste, the need to reuse, reduce, and recycle, and also to present the gigantic nature of the problem that faces the world
in this Technological age.
The 3-days drive collected approximately 500 kilos of E-Waste, and 140 kilos of consumer electronics like vacuum cleaners,
geysers, mixers, calculators, and so on.

| This E-waste collection effort was coordinated by Assistant Professor,
Larissa Rodrigues, who is the Co-ordinator of the Nature Club of the College.
