SEMINAR ON WASTE MANAGEMENT

In order to guide students and staff, Goa College of Home Science and IQAC Cell in association with the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) organized a seminar onWaste Management on 16thNovember 2021.The seminar was coordinated by Ms MitaliBhate Assistant Professor, In-Charge of the Waste Management Cell (SESREC) of the College.

Ms Bhowmick in the sessions discussed the period of adolescence and its stages.

The seminar began with a presentation by Mr. Leroy Veloso, CCP Waste Management Coordinator, who briefed about the CCP's waste management process and units, and ways in which one can reduce waste at an individual level.This was followed by a session on Dry Waste Management by Mr. Balaji Kendre, coordinator for Dry Waste Management Project, MRF, CCP, Panaji.

Mr. Kendre, created awareness about dry waste management by highlighting various ways by which dry waste management can be done.Lastly, a demonstration session on Waste Segregation was conducted by Mrs. Anita and Ms.Kiran.The seminar was concluded by taking the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Pledge.

The seminar was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff, FYBSc and Behaviour Change Communication (TYBSc) students of Goa College of Home Science.
